Tea Tree Oil (Cajuput) - Melaleuca leucadendron

Used as a stimulant, antispasmodic, diaphoretic, expectorant, antimicrobial and antiseptic. Traditionally Cajuput oil has been used for colds, headaches, toothache, sore muscles, Rheumatism and numerous skin disorders. Other uses have included cosmetic fragrance, antiseptic liniments, burn treatments, vaginal infections, Ringworm, cuts and abrasions and as a flavoring component in foods.

Thyme Leaf - Thymus vulgaris

Stimulating and soothing to the digestive system, this herb is used for treating conditions such as sluggish digestion and dyspepsia. Since this herb is known to have antimicrobial properties it is commonly used for sore throats, respiratory and digestive infections and Laryngitis. Considered to be a superb cough suppressant for Whooping Cough, Bronchitis and Asthma.

Turkey Rhubarb - Rheum palmatum

This herb is a simple and safe purgative which has been used to quickly empty the bowels with no after- constipation. It acts as a laxative in cases of constipation and as an astringent in cases of diarrhea. Turkey Rhubarb also improves appetite, increases salivary and gastric flow and promotes healthy liver function and bile flow. In small doses it is considered stomachic and tonic.

Turmeric Root - Curcuma longa

Historically used as a very powerful gallbladder stimulant, and promoter of bile flow. This herb has strong antioxidant, anti-hepatotoxic and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been very useful in the treatment of Diabetes, liver disorders, Hepatitis, skin conditions, and other inflammatory disorders. Turmeric is also a stimulator of gastric juices.

Uva Ursi Leaf - Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi

Used to tone, soothe and strengthen the membranes of the urinary system. Traditionally it has been used to treat ulcerations of the bladder or kidney, Cystitis and Pyelitis. Women have long benefited from sitz baths made with this herb for post childbirth problems such as inflammation of the perineum or to relieve post Episiotomy discomfort.

Vitamin B-1 (Thiamine)

An essential vitamin which keeps mucous membranes healthy, maintains normal functioning of the heart, muscles and nervous system, promotes normal growth and development and replaces deficiency caused by Alcoholism, Cirrhosis, infections, etc.

Vitamin B-6 (Pridoxine)
An essential vitamin which acts as a co-enzyme for metabolic functions affecting carbohydrates, protein, and fat utilization, and promotes conversion of tryptophan to niacin or serotonin.

Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol)

An essential vitamin which promotes normal growth and development, treats and prevents numerous skin disorders, prevents oxidation of free radicals in the body, acts as an anti-blood clotting agent, protects tissue against oxidation, promotes normal red-blood cell formation, and decreases scarring from wounds.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

An essential vitamin which a powerful antioxidant that is required for tissue growth and repair .adrenal gland function as well as healthy gums, teeth and bones. It is useful in fighting infections by increasing the activity of white blood cells and helping to destroy invading bacteria and viruses. It is essential for defending the body against harmful substances in the environment. Current research indicates that Vitamin C may also play an important role in Cancer therapy.

White Willow Bark - Salix spp.

A natural source of Salicin (the forerunner of aspirin). Used for treating aches and pains, headaches, Rheumatism, Gout, fevers, Arthritis and Angina. Its historical use as a pain killer dates back to the days of Galen, Hippocrates and Dioscorides.

Wild Cherry Bark - Prunus serotina

A well known sedative for cough suppression. It has been used in folk remedies for decades in the treatment of Whooping Cough, Bronchitis, and all varieties of irritating coughs.

Wild Lettuce - Latuca virosa

Sometimes referred to as Bitter Lettuce, it is a folk remedy for Asthma, Cancer, Colic, cough, Dropsy, Gout and Jaundice. The oil has also been used as a treatment for Arteriosclerosis. Homeopaths have also used this herb for numerous preparations.

Wild Oat Seed - Avena sativa

A traditional remedy for strengthening the entire nervous system. Reported to be helpful for nervous debility and exhaustion when associate with stress and depression. Extracts of wild oat seed have been used to counteract dependence on cigarettes and morphine.

Wild Yam Root - Dioscorea villosa

Used primarily as an antispasmodic to relieve Diverticulitis, Dysmenorrhea, intestinal Colic and ovarian / uterine pains. Also used as an anti-inflammatory for treating Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Wood Betony - Stachys betonica

An excellent general relaxant and tonic for the central nervous system. Traditionally used for treatment of anxiety and nervous tension associated with headaches and High Blood Pressure.

Yellow Dock Root - Rumex crispus

Used for treating various skin disorders such as Eczema and Psoriasis. It is considered a blood cleanser and a folk remedy for constipation. It is known to promote the flow of bile in jaundice conditions when caused by congestion. The herb has some antibacterial properties and was once used historically as the primary treatment for Scurvy and Anemia (probably because of its high iron content.)

Ylang Ylang Oil - Cananga odorata

Externally used as a fragrance component in cosmetics, lotions and Aroma Therapy preparations.

Yohimbe Bark - Corynanthe yohimbe

A native tree of Africa, Yohimbe is a rich source of a variety of strong alkaloids known to block the uptake of neurotransmitters at alpha-2 receptor sites. It has been used as an aid in dieting and weight management. Historically, Yohimbe was used as an aphrodisiac to stimulate libido and treat Impotence.

Zinc Chloride

Sometimes called Butter of Zinc, this compound is occasionally used in escharotic skin creams and salves for the treatment of skin cancers.

DMSO - Dimethyl sulfoxide

A by-product of wood. It has been reported to relieve pain, diminish swelling, reduce inflammation, encourage healing and restore normal function. It has been used for a variety of disorders including Cancer, Arthritis, Stroke, mental retardation and sports injuries.
